Brief Semi-Biographical Sketches of the Members of Delightful Young Man, Plus a Brief History of the Band Itself

THE BAND

Delightful Young Man originated as a gossip column in the now-defunct Fresno Weekly. It ran for two issues before the publisher noticed it and demanded that it cease.

Delightful Young Man then became a six-member supergroup cover band, because at the time that was a really hip and popular concept. They played two shows at an abandoned synagogue, covering songs by Del the Funky Homosapien, Half Japanese, and Leonard Nimoy, and then they broke up.

Delightful Young Man then became three people and two computers. They recorded an album called Intimations of Immorality. Then they waited a couple of years and recorded a Christmas EP called Wrapped in Green.

Delightful Young Man then became a six-member band. They recorded a bunch of songs for people’s birthdays. They live in Portland, Oregon. They recorded a rock opera called Roboctopus.
