Ever since I gave Bubba a copy of “Satan’s Sodomy Baby” for his birthday, I’ve been a fan of The Goon. That issue wasn’t quite as repellently offensive as I’d been led to believe, but it was enough to get me interested… and I just gave Djerzi a copy of volume 1 for Christmas. That’s right: I liked it so much that I even went so far as to share it with a dude who hates EVERYTHING.
Anyway, it’s apparently Goon Year over at Dark Horse, and they’re celebrating with free Goon comics on their Myspace page. Not too shabby, and even though none of them are written by Eric Powell, still a good introduction to the comic.
I haven’t read the new book yet (”Chinatown”), but I’m hoping to get my hands on one soon…
