Here’s what’s happened during the past few days: NOTHING.
Two days ago, Pennystripe came over and recorded her keyboard parts for the Introduction, Interludes, and Credits. Amusing.
Last night I tore myself away from investigating the Bill O’Reilly vs. Tom Potter Anarchist Manners Debate long enough to start reading The Master and Margarita. Out of [...]
So I came cruising by the blog this morning, only to notice that it is now copyright 2007 Infinite Monkey.1 And maybe it’s because I’m tired or maybe it’s because I’m stupid, but I can’t remember how to change that part of the sidebar.2
Instead, I installed this new David Foster Wallace plug-in I found.3 For [...]

Sadly, we’ll only be 5/6 of DYM at the April 8 show, due to the fact that this morning at around nine am, a group of scientists strapped Eloise to a chair, pumped her full of Valium, and shot laser beams at her eyeballs. Then they took a bunch of her money, sent her [...]
All the roads to the studio were closed on Sunday morning as a group of Portlanders decided en masse with no prompting to run up and down Interstate, the Broadway Bridge, and the Fremont Bridge. So after about forty minutes of driving around and asking various uniformed public officials if they knew of any [...]
Well, looks like we’re too late for the 2007 PDX Pop Now comp. Too bad. I suppose we could harass Jeremy into giving us a decent mix of Shark Never Sleeps in the next eight days, but that wouldn’t be very considerate…
Damn, that was a long day. We got to Type Foundry at 9am and started setting up, and started recording for real at 1pm. At 10:30pm we called it a day: twelve songs in nine and a half hours. One more song to go, then overdubs, and vocals if we’re lucky.
So far, [...]
As faithful readers of this blog (in other words, other members of the band) know, we’ll be heading into Type Foundry tomorrow to record Roboctopus. Two days, thirteen songs.
Naturally, this got me thinking about the next album. So far, we’ve got:
Christmas Over Pearl Harbor
Summer Girl Fun Town
Motherfucker Like Marvin Gaye
And I’m [...]

Without ms. Eloise…what are we to do?
President Speaks
Testimony from a Scholar?
It’s always Christmas When You’re Dead?
This Girl’s not Big Enough
Shark Attacks?
I can sing Eloises part on Back Bedroom…
Hmm…what other songs?
Just in case any of you Portland-area folks conveniently “forgot” about tonight’s show, here’s more reasons to come out and give us money tonight:
Not only will we be debuting TWO BRAND NEW SONGS from Roboctopus (”Shark Attacks!” and “Everybody Hates Me”), there will be
Cupcakes - TWO DOLLARS!
Brownies - TWO DOLLARS!
Fantastically Indescribable Treat - THREE DOLLARS!
As [...]
But underneath my post “who doesn’t love green and black diamonds” there are tags and pings. What are tags and pings? All i know is that it’s a lot of viagra promotion.
Maybe you want to listen to these songs, but not necessarily in this order:
Roboctopus
Shark Attacks!
Shark Never Sleeps
Octobot
Monster in the White House
Killing Civilians
I’m Happy With What You Are
Motherfucker Like Marvin Gaye
Bing’s Equations
The Traitor Speaks!
The Common Demands
Christmas Over Pearl Harbor
I added up the approximate hourly wages that we each make (for some of you it was just a blind guess) and came up with how much our band charges per hour. $150 smackaroos people! Of course Pennystripe doesn’t get a cut since her hourly wage is $0. Mwwahhhhhh……………….
